About The Position

Mr. C Refrigeration is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to independently service commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment in the field. The company provides installation, emergency repair, and preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial refrigeration, cold storage, and HVAC equipment. The technician will travel to customer locations throughout an assigned service area and provide dependable service, accurate documentation, and clear communication with customers.

This hands-on role requires regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling. The technician must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

The position pays $35–$55 per hour based on experience. It is full-time and overtime-eligible, with commission opportunities and on-call pay. The company also offers weekly pay by direct deposit, PTO, paid holidays, access to group insurance and benefit plans, 401(k) eligibility, and ongoing technical training and development. Benefits eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of service.

Requirements

• EPA Certification is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of commercial HVAC/R service experience is preferred.
• Technical school HVAC/R training or equivalent field experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
• Identify the root cause of equipment failures and complete necessary repairs.
• Test systems after repairs to ensure safe and proper operation.
• Communicate findings, repair needs, and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the assigned service area.
