The ideal candidate will possess a can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a high level of customer service.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as an install mechanic.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Visual acuity sufficient to read instructions, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to install and replace HVAC equipment and parts.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipment.
Ability to frequently lift 75 pounds and ability to lift and regularly carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Sufficient physical ability to work in awkward places and from ladders or scaffolding as required by projects.
Physical ability to endure high and low outside temperatures.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Will be required to work in a field environment, multiple customer sites on a daily basis.
Regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms.
Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
Continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Replace commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Complete paperwork daily, accurately recording materials used on each job.
Independently replace HVAC systems with a helper on the job.
Wire up all basic HVAC low voltage wiring: furnace, a/c, thermostats, zone controls.
Field fabricate duct fittings on the job without supervision.
Fit and braze copper fittings.
Perform equipment startups, including verifying proper refrigerant charge and airflow readings.
Read blueprints and lay out duct.
Work four 10-hour shifts followed by 3-day weekends.
