About The Position
We're seeking an experienced Commercial Grounds Maintenance Branch Manager with the leadership ability, operational discipline, and business acumen to run a successful, growing branch. This is a senior-level role for someone who knows how to balance field execution with financial performance - and who wants to be rewarded for it. As Branch Manager, you will have full responsibility for the overall success of the branch. You will lead teams, strengthen client partnerships, and drive operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on profitability and growth. Requirements
- 10+ years of commercial grounds maintenance or landscape industry experience
- Experience in a leadership role managing multiple crews and supervisors
- Demonstrated success managing P&L and driving branch profitability
- Strong understanding of operational systems, budgeting, and forecasting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership style
- Ability to lead in both field and office environments
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily branch operations, including maintenance production, enhancements, and seasonal services
- Ensure quality control standards are met or exceeded across all properties
- Implement efficient routing, scheduling, and labor planning strategies
- Maintain equipment, fleet, and asset oversight
- Champion safety initiatives and regulatory compliance
- Full accountability for branch P&L performance
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts
- Monitor labor costs, materials, overhead, and margins
- Drive revenue growth while protecting profitability
- Analyze KPIs and implement strategic improvements
- Recruit, hire, and retain top-tier supervisors and crew members
- Mentor and coach team leaders to strengthen accountability and performance
- Conduct performance reviews and leadership development planning
- Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and pride
- Build long-term relationships with commercial property managers and stakeholders
- Ensure exceptional service delivery and high retention rates
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Support and collaborate with sales to drive new business
