Requirements

  • Experience leading crews in installation, construction, carpentry, or a related field
  • Hands-on skills with power tools, product assembly, and safe material handling
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, or blueprints
  • Strong communication and leadership—able to direct a team and keep projects on track
  • High school diploma or GED (minimum)
  • 2–3 years of related installation experience preferred
  • Willingness to work in a physical, fast-moving environment (lifting up to 64 lbs, bending, kneeling, etc.)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 2 - 3 years related experience and/or training, including systems furniture installation; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to fluently speak and understand English
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
  • Must communicate in English via telephone to management, customers, vendors, and/or other team members
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor an installation crew, setting the tone for teamwork and accountability
  • Manage installation of MillerKnoll and other commercial furniture product lines
  • Review drawings/blueprints and ensure installs meet project standards
  • Troubleshoot issues on site and keep projects moving smoothly
  • Communicate daily with the project team, clients, and contractors in a professional, solutions-focused way
  • Train newer installers in Pigott’s standards and help build their skills
  • Take ownership of job readiness, site preparation, and follow-through to client sign-off
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and exceptional service to all customers — both external and internal — by living out Pigott’s core values and contributing to the OnePigott culture.
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism, proactive communication, and a timely response to every service inquiry.
  • Support Pigott’s commitment to quality by developing, maintaining, and continuously improving position-specific procedures, process instructions, and documentation to better serve the company, customers, and team members.
  • Attend work as scheduled and uphold all guidelines as outlined in the Pigott Team Member Handbook.
  • Accept responsibility for ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Perform additional responsibilities at the request of manager or the Pigott Leadership team.
