About The Position

VIP Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Fleet Director to build, lead, and grow our expanding Commercial Fleet Sales Division. This is a rare executive leadership opportunity to create one of the largest and most successful commercial vehicle operations in the New York metropolitan area. Representing multiple industry-leading brands—including Ford Pro, Chevrolet Commercial, and Ram Commercial—you'll have the inventory, executive support, financial resources, and marketing investment needed to build a world-class commercial fleet business serving Long Island, New York City, and the surrounding region.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial fleet sales, fleet management, or commercial vehicle sales experience
  • Demonstrated success developing new commercial accounts and growing fleet business
  • Existing relationships with commercial customers throughout Long Island and the New York metropolitan area
  • Experience selling commercial trucks, cargo vans, chassis cabs, medium-duty trucks, work trucks, vocational vehicles, and fleet vehicles
  • Knowledge of Ford Pro, Chevrolet Commercial, Ram Commercial, or other commercial vehicle programs
  • Experience with commercial financing, leasing, and fleet purchasing
  • Understanding of vehicle upfits, vocational equipment, and commercial fleet solutions
  • Strong outside sales, business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with municipalities, contractors, utility companies, fleet management organizations, or government purchasing agencies is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing the overall commercial fleet sales strategy
  • Growing commercial vehicle sales across Ford Pro, Chevrolet Commercial, and Ram Commercial
  • Prospecting and acquiring new fleet accounts throughout Long Island and the New York metropolitan area
  • Building long-term partnerships with businesses operating five or more vehicles
  • Working with contractors, construction companies, municipalities, government agencies, utility companies, delivery services, landscapers, HVAC companies, plumbers, electricians, telecommunications providers, and other commercial clients
  • Developing fleet relationships with leasing companies, fleet management companies, and courtesy delivery partners
  • Expanding opportunities for commercial service, maintenance, parts, and vehicle upfits
  • Collaborating with manufacturers on commercial fleet programs and incentives
  • Hiring, training, and leading future Fleet Account Managers and Commercial Business Development Representatives
  • Partnering with executive leadership to build a scalable, high-performing commercial fleet operation
