Join us and be a part of a team that puts people first! EMR is seeking a Commercial Finance & Accounting Manager to support our Non-Ferrous Metals business. This is not a traditional accounting management role. We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, analyzing operational performance, improving processes, and helping drive profitability. You'll work closely with commercial, procurement, logistics, and operations teams to provide financial insight that supports buying decisions, contract management, inventory movement, logistics costs, and overall business performance. This role will be worked 100% onsite in Camden, NJ. There is no opportunity to go remote or hybrid.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Progressive experience in Accounting, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Cost Accounting, or Operational Finance.
  • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to communicate financial information to both finance and operational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with commercial, procurement, logistics, and operations teams to support profitable business decisions.
  • Provide financial oversight for non-ferrous metals purchasing, inventory movement, freight, storage, and logistics activities.
  • Interpret commercial contracts and ensure financial terms are accurately reflected in accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Analyze margins, commodity purchasing performance, logistics costs, and operational profitability.
  • Build financial models that support pricing, purchasing, forecasting, and strategic decision making.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning across commercial operations.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and other business intelligence platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automate manual processes, and leverage AI-driven analytical tools.
  • Support month-end close, financial reporting, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to business leaders.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting, and commercial processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and business partners across North America and internationally.
