About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall and Framing Mechanic with a strong background in carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall installation to support projects at Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia and surrounding areas. As a full-service design-build contractor, our company delivers fast-paced commercial construction projects for clients in both the public and private sectors. A significant share of our work is tied to Department of Defense projects. This is a hands-on field position that plays a vital role in daily operations. You will perform a wide range of skilled carpentry tasks, using both manual and power tools to build and finish interior structures. Keeping the job site safe, efficient, and well-organized is an important part of the role.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in commercial construction or a related trade (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in metal stud framing, drywall installation, and related materials
Demonstrated ability to frame and install steel stud systems is required
All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

Previous experience on government or military job sites is a plus
Experience installing acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) is preferred
CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus
