Commercial Driver – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Commercial Driver to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers using company-provided vehicles. The role supports AutoZone’s customer-first retail operations by providing professional customer service and automotive advice, completing safe and timely deliveries, and working collaboratively with store personnel and commercial accounts. No Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required. The driver loads and unloads merchandise, makes scheduled deliveries, collects returns and parts, processes customer payments, follows safety and PPE requirements, and helps maintain the delivery vehicle. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous automotive retail experience.
- Valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement.
Responsibilities
- Provide WOW! Customer Service to commercial customers and DIY shoppers, including clear, professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
- Collaborate with store personnel and commercial accounts to support teamwork and customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations and meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to make safe, timely deliveries of automotive parts to commercial customers.
- Load and unload parts accurately according to route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Follow PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies.
- Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and promptly report issues.
