About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is currently looking for a talented and dynamic Commercial Director who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do! The Director of Commercial forms part of the Hotel Leadership team who collectively makes key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel. As the revenue leader for the Hotel, you will be responsible for a team that includes Catering, Conference Services, Public Relations, Marketing, and Sales for the hotel and all outlets. Your strong relationship building skills and ability to learn the local market will allow for genuine team interactions and engagement. We are looking for individuals who are strategic, proactive, influential, energetic and who have a proven track record in both sales and marketing. Applicants need to evidence strong revenue and budget management skills, have a creative flair for marketing, have good communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate effective leadership. This individual will provide strategic leadership to the Marketing, Sales, Catering, Conference Planning, and Revenue teams in the hotel, ensuring that all activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum commercial results. Applicants need to have evidence of strong marketing, positioning, budget management skills and have a creative flair, have good communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate effective leadership. The Commercial Director sits on the Hotel’s executive leadership team and directs and oversees all sales and commercial activities. This individual will develop the local Hotel brand and narrative including the Hotel positioning in the market, the storytelling and subsequent programming. The Commercial Director must be able to execute and effectively communicate strategies and tactics employed to all key stakeholders, including Ownership, the Hotel team and our Corporate Office.

Requirements

  • Currently a Commercial Director in a dynamic urban environment
  • Luxury Hotel Experience is a must
  • Applicants are required to have at least 5 years leading multidisciplined departments within the commercial space.
  • Strong revenue and budget management skills
  • Creative flair for marketing
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective leadership

  • College Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Marketing Preferred

Responsibilities
