About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is seeking an experienced and proven leader to become its Commercial Director. This is a key role on the Hotel’s Executive Leadership team, responsible for making strategic and operational decisions. The Commercial Director will lead the commercial strategy across sales, marketing, revenue management, reservations, and public relations to drive revenue performance and sustain the hotel’s unique market positioning in a highly competitive and evolving environment. The successful candidate will be a proven leader, strategic thinker, motivator, and innovator who is highly collaborative and people-focused. This role is particularly exciting at this time of renewal for San Francisco and the property, offering a unique opportunity to help shape the commercial strategy of a landmark luxury hotel.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience in luxury hotel commercial functions (Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management).
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth, business development, and closing high-value deals.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in revenue and budget management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Demonstrated success in building, leading, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in revenue and client management systems preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, develop, and lead the commercial team. Foster a positive, high-performance culture.
  • Drive RevPAR performance through strategic planning, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Oversee marketing, promotions, advertising, and public relations initiatives in alignment with brand positioning.
  • Maintain key accounts, support major business opportunities, and act as the hotel’s primary commercial leader.
  • Set, monitor, and achieve commercial goals across all segments and channels.
  • Represent the hotel with key partners such as convention & visitors bureaus, corporate clients, and community stakeholders.
