The Commercial Content Creator/Writer will be part of the Brand Partnerships & Creative Solutions team, based in the NYC office, and will focus on producing branded content for the Secret Media Network across the US. This role requires a team player comfortable with diverse responsibilities and a hands-on approach.

Requirements

  • Perfect written English: creative, accurate, and idiomatic.
  • Previously published writing editorially or commercially (newsrooms, magazines, agencies etc).
  • Flair for social media and confidence creating social content.
  • Comfortable in front of the camera.
  • Experience in a digital marketing or editorial environment (newsroom to agency).
  • Experience using publishing and scheduling tools such as Wordpress, Later, Mailchimp.
  • Experience using creative tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva.
  • Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure, managing multiple to-dos across different projects.
  • Up-to-date understanding of the industry, native marketing, and what constitutes good branded content.
  • Creative and commercially insightful, with the ability to connect brands with a young, dynamic audience.
  • Good at problem-solving and thinking on your feet.
  • Pleasant to work with, warm and professional when collaborating with multiple teams across multiple markets.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in using social listening tools.
  • Some experience in using data analysis tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook/Instagram Insights.
  • Some experience working on commercial campaigns and creating paid for branded content.
  • Fluency in a second language.

Responsibilities

  • Writing engaging, accurate, and informative articles at pace for commercial partners.
  • Writing, scheduling, and publishing social media posts, and liaising with the marketing team to optimize copy for sales and/or awareness.
  • Filming and editing social media video for Instagram and TikTok, including video coverage of branded events.
  • Creating and sending out newsletters.
  • Keeping track of tasks across multiple campaigns, utilizing social and digital management tools.
  • Generating creative ideas for new campaigns with the creative strategy team.
  • Managing final feedback from clients to ensure content is on point, requiring attention to detail.
  • Liaising with editorial teams to maintain smooth internal working relationships.
