About The Position

Kelley Construction is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to supervise on-site building activities for healthcare construction projects, including new facilities, renovations, and additions. The superintendent will coordinate work with healthcare facilities, oversee the jobsite schedule, budget, safety, and quality, and represent Kelley Construction in meetings with project stakeholders. The role requires travel and reports to the Field Operations Director.

Requirements

Must be able to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver's license.
Must be willing to travel.
Ability to communicate professionally with personnel, clients, customers, and architects.
Strong managerial skills.
Experience in concrete, framing, and finish carpentry.
Familiarity with computers and ability to use company software.
Ability to follow instructions and read and interpret instructions.

Nice To Haves

Five years of healthcare construction experience as a superintendent is strongly desired.
Willingness to train suitable candidates from the next generation.

Responsibilities

Maintain a responsible construction schedule and budget.
Coordinate with healthcare facilities on documentation such as work permits, preconstruction risk assessments, and infection control risk assessments.
Maintain a safe jobsite for Kelley Construction and subcontractor employees.
Represent the company in job meetings with owners, architects, subcontractors, and inspectors.
Use computer software to complete daily tasks, including expense approvals, receipt and photo management, email, site management, and time entry.
Communicate with the Kelley Construction office and project manager about jobsite requirements to maintain productivity, quality, and schedule.
Ensure safety practices are followed on the jobsite.
Perform other duties assigned by the Field Operations Director.
