About The Position

A well-established and growing commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join its team. This organization has an impressive portfolio of ground-up and renovation projects throughout the DFW area and continues to experience steady growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys leading projects from award through closeout while partnering closely with Superintendents, Project Coordinators, clients, architects, and subcontractors to deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from cradle to grave.
  • Experience with ground-up and renovation commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost control, contracts, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with Procore
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Candidates whose primary background is residential or multifamily construction will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • PMP certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with projects such as: K-12 Education, Municipal/Government, Commercial Office, Churches, Public Facilities, Similar commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Oversee contracts, subcontractor scopes, RFIs, submittments, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Partner closely with field Superintendents to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate with Project Coordinators and internal support teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project costs, identify potential risks, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in scope reviews and project planning activities.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
