About The Position

Shaw Construction is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator to join their team. This role will be based in Eden Prairie, MN, with projects located in the Twin Cities Region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in construction project management/estimating, preferably with General Contractor Design/Build experience. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a similar field is required. The role involves supporting clients and superintendents, assisting in business development, managing project finances, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring a smooth project close-out process. The position offers a compensation of $85k+ based on experience, plus benefits and a car allowance.

Requirements

A minimum of two years of experience working as a Construction Project Manager/Estimator
A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or similar
Competence in Word, Excel, MS Project, & Bluebeam
Organized self-starter with strong initiative and work ethic
Analytical mind that enjoys problem-solving

Nice To Haves

General Contractor Design/Build experience preferred.
Autodesk a plus

Responsibilities

Assist in business development and client presentations.
Assemble costs, prepare proposals, and other tasks associated with project development.
Act as a customer liaison to coordinate with subcontractors, municipality and governing authorities, and others.
Manage financial aspects of the project including cost dissection, margin projections, and subcontract bids, awards, and invoices.
Communicate with the owner, including responding to change order requests, invoicing, and coordinating finish selections.
Procure permits and otherwise coordinate with municipalities.
Manage design disciplines, project schedule, and shop drawing review and approval.
Coordinate with your projects’ Superintendent on all matters including safety, quality, and schedule.
Provide a strong close-out process, including punch list completion and occupancy turnover.
Other projects based on need and interest.
