About The Position
Skillforce is seeking a Commercial Construction Estimator for a full-time/direct hire role with our client. This contractor is looking for someone to stay and grow into a management position. The role is located in the Orlando, FL area with a salary range of $75,000 - $100,000 annually, including generous bonus opportunities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and construction drawings.
- Experience with estimating software (Stack preferred, but not required)
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management
- Interest in commercial construction estimating (waterproofing, caulking, roofing, protective coatings).
Responsibilities
- Generate accurate, competitive cost estimates using Stack estimating software.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and requirements.
- Lead and manage projects independently from pre-construction through closeout.
- Analyze labor, materials, and timelines to create cost-effective bids.
- Identify project risks early and recommend proactive solutions.
- Stay current on industry standards, pricing trends, and material/labor costs.
