About The Position
As a CBRE Government and Defense Services Commercial Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties and ensure assigned areas are clean. Work includes mopping, sweeping, disposing of trash, and supporting cleanliness in building areas. This is a part-time night-shift position. The role follows standardized company cleaning processes and established work routines. The cleaner uses existing procedures to address straightforward problems, with limited discretion, and follows procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment. The position may involve occasional exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals, as well as physically demanding work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 2 years of job-related experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow established work routines and procedures.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Reliability and dependability, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial work, or a similar field.
- Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic building areas.
- Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and soap.
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
- Complete the standardized cleaning process according to company standards.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
- Follow basic work routines and standards.
- Use established procedures to solve straightforward problems.
