About The Position
As a CBRE Government and Defense Services Commercial Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties and ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas. The work includes mopping, sweeping, trash disposal, and daily cleaning support for designated high-traffic areas. This is a part-time night-shift position. The role follows established routines, standardized cleaning processes, company standards, and procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment. The employee attends regular staff meetings and required in-service training, and uses existing procedures to resolve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 2 years of job-related experience.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow established work routines and procedures.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Reliability and dependability, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial work, or a similar field.
- Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas designated by the supervisor.
- Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and soap.
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other assigned areas.
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
- Complete standardized cleaning processes according to company standards.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
- Follow basic work routines and standards and use established procedures to resolve straightforward problems.
