About The Position

As a part-time Commercial Cleaner with CBRE Government and Defense, you will perform basic cleaning duties and ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas. Duties include mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal, as well as maintaining high-traffic areas and restocking restrooms. The role follows company cleaning standards and established procedures for using cleaning chemicals and power equipment. You will use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, with limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

The position may involve occasional exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals. It requires physically demanding work, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving furniture. Cleaners may work independently or as part of a team and must complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.

Requirements

• Two years of related job experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving furniture.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic areas of the building.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
• Complete the standardized cleaning process according to company standards.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
