About The Position

Established in 1993, CIBA Insurance Services offers a unique insurance program that has become the benchmark for providing commercial property owners and managers with broad commercial coverage for property and liability risk protection. We are dedicated to providing our customers with unsurpassed service in underwriting, claims management, risk management, and providing innovative solutions to complex insurance needs. We are currently looking for a Commercial Claims Representative to join our claims adjusting team. The Commercial Claims Representative will work with customers, inspecting loss sites, evaluating damages to structures and property, calculating loss of income, writing reports and documenting claim activity in the company's claims database. Claims are to be processed consistent with corporate policies and procedures and in accordance with any statutory, regulatory and ethic requirements. Claims handled in this program range from small to very large commercial property losses and various carriers.

Requirements

  • Resident or Non-Resident Adjuster License with the ability to be licensed as necessary
  • 5+ years of experience adjusting large and complex commercial residential property claims
  • Excellent Xactimate estimating skills
  • Knowledgeable working as a Third Party Administrator (TPA) and with Reinsurance programs
  • Strong knowledge of all matters relating to property claims practices, policies and procedures
  • Must be analytical and good with numbers
  • Strong typing, computer and Internet skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Assertive, with strong organization, time management skills and Outlook email management skills
  • Ability to work independently (self-managed)
  • Good driving record and valid Automobile Insurance

Responsibilities

  • Adjusting commercial property claims

  • Telephone, e-mail and mail communications with customers
  • Travel to evaluate damages and attend meetings is required
  • Writing reports and documenting claim activity in the company's claim database
  • Secure training and licensing necessary for essential duties
