In this co-op opportunity you will be responsible for the completion of building maintenance duties as required by service requests submitted by all appropriate tenants and High Properties.
Requirements
- Must be a high school or college student, at least 16 years of age.
- Currently enrolled in electrical, general carpentry, plumbing, and general building maintenance through LCCTC.
- The ability to learn and use tools, prints and measuring instruments necessary.
- Team-player attitude and strong attention-to-detail.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Commercial Facilities Lead to expedite service orders in a timely and courteous manner.
- Complete all necessary paperwork.
- Respond to calls from work order system for repairs and make repairs.
- Assist with the BEST lock system used on all High properties. From the computer software program, to creating and building cores, installing cylinders, and cutting keys.
- Maintain records on all types of building items, so that replacement parts or fixtures can be ordered expeditiously.
- Assist with any electrical/Plumbing changes and additions for buildings as required/requested.
- Understand current operating knowledge of building elevators.
- Assist with any adjustments to doors and locks on buildings in the High portfolio, install closers as needed.
- Report on roof leaks and notify the Commercial Facilities Lead.
- Assist and replace damaged ceiling tiles in buildings, as needed.
- Assist with the installation, service, and maintenance of all fountains (concrete and pond).
