About The Position

Assumes responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient support of the Commercial Banking process. This role involves coordinating workflow, maintaining documentation for compliance, communicating with customers and associated parties, preparing reports, and assisting Commercial Banking Officers with various loan-related tasks. The position also requires processing financial transactions, resolving customer issues, and managing commercial loan documents.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma, plus specialized training or a two year degree in related business field.
Five to ten years general experience with two to five years of specialized banking experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the workflow for Commercial Bankers by ordering and reviewing commercial loan document packages throughout the application and closing process.
Maintains adequate documentation to ensure compliance of bank policy with regards to proper collection of all necessary notations, forms, agreements, and signatures of commercial loan documents.
Creates cover letters, communicates verbally or via email with commercial banking customers and all associated parties; including attorneys, title companies, and insurance companies involved in the loan closing process to resolve questions regarding information submitted during the application process.
Communicates with the borrower and all associated parties to resolve outstanding issues regarding booked and closed loans.
Prepares, monitors and maintains reports used for internal and external reporting purposes.
Assists the Commercial Banking Officers with loan advances, disbursements, construction draws, or the requests for construction draws through the Secured Credit Department.
Assists the Commercial Banking Officers with the tracking and completion of commercial loan documentation and financial exceptions.
Processes detailed wire transfers, advances and on-line transfers.
Assists customers in resolving any issues with loans and deposit accounts.
Manages workflow of all commercial loan documents including letters of credit, documentation of processed loan files for completeness and accuracy, and issuance of advances on lines of credit for commercial loan customers on an as needed basis.
Completes Loan Documentation Form Letters for Covenant Waivers.
May assume some lending responsibilities for Senior Commercial Bankers, in their absence, including attending closings as a representative of S&T Bank.
Provides consistent, superior quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds S&T Bank’s standards.
Performs other responsibilities related to the commercial banking process as required.
Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees in other departments.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.
