About The Position

This position is for a Full Time Commercial Banking Officer at Landmark National Bank. The role involves originating and servicing a profitable portfolio of commercial loans and treasury management services, developing an understanding of the Landmark customer relationship model and commercial banking products, and assisting in building and maintaining customer relationships. The officer will represent the bank positively through community engagement and ensure responsive, compliant, and confidential service. A significant portion of the role (70-80%) focuses on portfolio management, with the remainder dedicated to training, development, leadership, community involvement, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent banking experience.
  • Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Basic financial analytical skills.
  • Planning and time management skills.
  • Understanding of basic personal computer programs (Internet, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel to banks or visit clients in region.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business or related field is preferred.

  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.

  • Assist the team, other bank divisions, and bank leadership to develop, monitor, and achieve branch and regional goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all customers, prospective customers, team members, and community partners.
  • Provide customer service by demonstrating the Landmark National Bank commitment to be champions and catalysts for our communities, which begins with assisting experienced bankers meet customer and prospect commercial loan and treasury management needs with a prompt and timely response.
  • Participate in the active outreach to current and prospective customers, while learning bank profitability, growth and bank risk management objectives.
  • Learn the Landmark National Bank sales process to win commercial loans and treasury management opportunities that expand existing or close prospective banking relationships, including participation in the regional weekly sales meeting.
  • Learn the basics of collecting and analyzing financial data to make informed decisions.
  • Learn various commercial banking, treasury management, mortgage banking and retail banking products and services, while understanding how to identify cross-sale and referral opportunities.
  • Participate on a regional loan committee.
  • Learn and comply with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including regular audits and internal loan reviews.
  • Collaborate with your team, other bank divisions, and bank leadership to develop, monitor, and achieve branch and regional goals.
  • Manage your professional improvement through the utilization of the quarterly Job Progress Plan and consistently meet minimum, target and optimum levels of performance.
  • Engage in Landmark National Bank culture initiatives and team success activities, including daily huddles, weekly sales meetings, and Celebration events.
  • Represent Landmark National Bank through community engagement to advance the bank’s reputation both during and after business hours.
  • Represent the bank well in the community.
  • Adhere to bank policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
