About The Position

The Commercial Banking Officer will drive revenue by prospecting for strong clients and financially sound deals, focusing on acquiring personal and business customers with an emphasis on depository relationships. This role involves assessing creditworthiness, recommending credit transactions, and managing loans from inception through performance, ensuring compliance with financial covenants. The officer will market and originate high-quality loans and deposits, balancing business growth with risk management, and provide timely reporting on client loan accounts. A broad expertise across diverse client needs, including Commercial Real Estate, Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Professional Service Companies, and Private Banking, is essential. The position also requires a focus on customer service and relationship maintenance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial banking experience with proven credit skills and expertise in credit instruments for business clients.
  • Excellent business development and marketing skills, with a passion for acquiring and managing client relationships.
  • Sales experience in a commercial banking environment.
  • Expert knowledge of credit facilities, underwriting, and loan portfolio management.
  • Extraordinary customer service skills.
  • Experience understanding the financial needs of a wide range of clients, including Commercial Real Estate, C&I, Professional Service Companies, and Private Banking.
  • Working knowledge of the local markets and top centers of influence in Northern Colorado or Boulder.

Responsibilities

  • Market and originate high-quality loans and deposits, balancing business growth with prudent risk management.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and monitoring of clients’ loan accounts.
  • Market a full suite of commercial banking services.
  • Focus on customer service and relationship maintenance.
  • Serve as a generalist across all types of commercial banking clientele, including Commercial Real Estate, Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Professional Service Companies, and Private Banking. Demonstrate broad expertise and the ability to deliver solutions for diverse client needs.
