About The Position

As a Commercial Banking Advisor, Real Estate Markets, you will be a key, trusted strategic advisor within the Client relationship Team (CRT). This role will be attractive to individuals who have a passion for working as part of a team to deliver a superior experience to complex, commercial real estate clients. As a Commercial Banking Advisor, Real Estate Markets, you will provide advice and solutions to support clients’ business operations. Maintaining a deep understanding of real estate markets and Commercial Banking products and services are critical to success in this role. Individuals who have experience being part of a sales team, who are comfortable engaging with clients and committed to continuous learning are most likely to thrive in this critical CRT role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of Commercial Banking experience and demonstrated excellence in sales and service roles
  • Excellent client relationship, communication and advisory skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to provide value-added advice and solutions to clients

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education at college or university level in business administration or financial management preferred e.g. BBA, B. of Commerce or equivalent on-the-job learning
  • Knowledge of real estate markets and commercial banking products

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client experience and stewardship including end-to-end onboarding process and supporting the organization’s strategy around risk mitigation and Know Your Client (KYC).
  • Complete holistic portfolio reviews focusing on operating accounts and digital services, leveraging your understanding of clients’ operations and real estate markets to provide differentiated advice
  • Deepen client relationships through day-to-day banking, deposit, and digital enablement advice
  • Monitor and maintain portfolio quality and strategic pricing of operating account sand cash management products in collaboration with partners
  • Lead a client contact strategy for your portfolio in collaboration the Client Relationship Team to deliver coordinated advice and solutions
  • Take ownership of client concerns and proactively seek resolutions
  • Collaborate with internal partners to deliver advice, solutions lending related support, including: the syndicated loan process as it pertains monthly interest standby fees loan repricing bilateral/syndicated loan closings (payout/paydown/tracking)
  • Maintain knowledge of real estate markets and commercial banking products
