About The Position

The Commercial Banking Administrator III serves as a primary contact for the Loan Production Group and Loan Operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications. This role involves managing loan pipelines, interacting with customers and external parties to resolve issues, and performing essential loan maintenance. The administrator is also responsible for opening and maintaining commercial banking deposit accounts, monitoring overdrafts, and assisting Relationship Managers (RMs) with various reports. Additionally, this position provides training and mentorship to junior staff, offers administrative support to the Commercial Banking group, and ensures adherence to all bank policies and procedures. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of commercial banking compliance and regulations

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/ সুস্পষ্টWord/Access)

  • Bachelor’s degree or related knowledge/skills gained through experience required
  • 10+ years of commercial loan experience required
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial and commercial real estate loan closing processes and procedures, loan systems and loan documentation.
  • Expert real estate knowledge in an administrative support role
  • Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills required
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated individual possessing a team-building spirit

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact with the Loan Production Group and Loan Operations, ensuring new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications are processed and set up as intended, advising on complex transactions.
  • Interact with customers, attorneys, CPAs, and other lending institutions to resolve problems and ensure timely return of required loan and deposit documentation.
  • Manage the pipeline of assigned loans within nCino and other secondary sources, ensuring accurate and timely data completion.
  • Utilize third-party providers to collect required documentation such as OFAC, Certificates of Existence, and Flood Determination certificates.
  • Research and resolve issues and questions using systems, procedural, operational, and enterprise expertise, collaborating with various departments.
  • Perform loan maintenance, including participation settlements, payment adjustments, pay-offs, pay-downs, partial releases, and interest rate changes.
  • Open and maintain Commercial Banking deposit accounts, ensuring adherence to bank procedures, and working with Treasury Services to set up products.
  • Monitor and process overdrafts, ensuring compliance with approval and insider transaction procedures, and researching/correcting delinquencies and aged overdrafts.
  • Assist RMs in monitoring monthly management reports for renewals, extensions, rate changes, and maturity loans, ensuring timely documentation preparation.
  • Provide training to Commercial staff and act as a mentor to less experienced Commercial Banking Administrators, including cross-training with other departments.
  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial Banking group by generating nCino management reports and assisting with system upgrades and new product testing.
  • Work within the boundaries of division and bank policies and procedures.
  • Balance multiple assignments and priorities independently.
  • Process construction loan advances.
