About The Position

Bank of America's Commercial Real Estate Team is seeking a Commercial Associate to join their Global Commercial Banking Team. Bank of America is a leading provider of financing for real estate developers and investors across various property types. The Global Commercial Bank serves public and private companies with significant annual revenues, offering a wide range of financial services, working capital management, treasury solutions, and underwriting/advisory services. Commercial Associates will gain foundational skills in financial analysis, client relationship support, and commercial banking operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of professional or business experience
  • Applies analytical thinking and financial modeling skills
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking and the ability to work independently
  • Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Maintains strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Understands and interprets corporate financial statements

  • Previously held an internship or entry-level role in financial services

Responsibilities

  • Supports the analysis of market and industry data to uncover insights for client/prospect meetings, pitch books, and relationship reviews
  • Collaborates with Market Executives, Relationship Managers, and team members across the bank to help prepare client presentations and support client deals
  • Observes and supports the credit approval and treasury solutions processes to build knowledge of products, services, and related approval and packaging requirements
  • Supports the coordination of clients/prospects and partners from product and deal teams throughout the course of a transaction
  • Supports the delivery of new business analytics, monitors client activities, and performs portfolio optimization to identify and expand client relationships while maintaining and enhancing business opportunities
  • Understands and interprets financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends
  • Observes with domestic and international teammates including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management, and facilitates client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to design and deliver financial solutions
