Commercial and Product Counsel (Contractor)

Arceus
•$100 - $150•Remote

About The Position

Arceus is building legal infrastructure for modern companies by combining experienced attorneys with intelligent technology. The Commercial and Product Counsel will support multiple companies in a general-counsel capacity while helping improve the tools and systems used to deliver legal services. This is a remote role based anywhere in the U.S. The attorney will work directly with customers as an extension of their in-house teams, providing practical, business-first advice across commercial contracts, regulatory matters, product, privacy, and general legal counseling. The role involves handling a high volume of agreements on tight turnaround and translating recurring work into playbooks, templates, and quality standards. The counsel will also collaborate with product and engineering teams to make Arceus’s review platform faster and more accurate. This is a part-time independent-contractor engagement requiring availability for at least 20 hours per week on client matters. That availability does not guarantee consistent 20-hour engagements. The hourly rate is $100–$150, based on experience, with an opportunity to convert to full-time.
