Vertex Pharmaceuticals•Boston, MA
•$25 - $35•Hybrid

About The Position

The Vertex Commercial Analytics, Market Access Co-Op is a six-month experiential training program for students pursuing an undergraduate or advanced degree in engineering, statistics, analytics, STEM, or a related field. The co-op will work with Vertex’s US Market Access analytics team, an analytics center of excellence supporting market access strategy, trade and distribution, revenue forecasting, and pricing. The team develops analytics to help commercial business units ensure patients with prescriptions for Vertex products can access them through health plans, pharmacies, and sites of care. The co-op will support forecasting and regression use cases to identify drivers and barriers to patient access for Vertex’s pain and cystic fibrosis portfolio. After initial training in US pharmaceutical and market access dynamics, the co-op will work on several initiatives, typically lasting three to four weeks, and create analytics scripts and reports using the team’s data assets. The role reports to the Market Access Data Analytics Lead and collaborates with that lead and the Data Governance Lead. This is a paid, temporary co-op scheduled for January through July 2027, requiring 40 hours per week. The role is hybrid in Boston, with three days per week onsite and ad hoc flexibility. It is offered through a third-party agency partner, which will employ the selected candidate and present compensation and employment terms upon offer. Vertex describes its co-op program as offering meaningful project work, mentorship, networking, professional development, and a supportive and inclusive culture.
