About The Position

The Commercial Account Manager works closely with Sales Directors and Program Management to develop and execute strategies for the Customer Accounts. The Commercial Account Manager III is capable of handling the analytical and strategic requirements of the assigned accounts such as direct customer negotiations without direct supervision. This is an onsite position located in Zeeland, MI. It is not eligible for hybrid or remote work at this time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years Gentex cost/product experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate directly with the customer.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in cross-functional teams.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Sales Director(s) in key face-to-face negotiations involving customer accounts.
  • Attend customer visits with Sales team to provide financial information.
  • Coordinates with Cost Analysts to develop accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
  • Develop cost breakdowns in a strategic manner.
  • Coordinate customer tours in a strategic manner.
  • Develop price targets based on market conditions, Gentex margin targets, and customer targets.
  • Develop strategies to match Gentex products and price targets to customer needs.
  • Develop alternative price and cost scenarios to optimize revenues.
  • Prepare and update customer book of business projections for revenue, gross margin, and savings.
  • Takes ownership to ensure consistency of pricing agreements with customer purchase contracts.
  • Develop and implement the best strategies for Annual Price Reduction: Price volume curves, New business awards, Limited compounding impact.
  • Takes ownership to ensure accuracy of all financial aspects of the customer account, including but not limited to: Amortization, Pricing, Tooling and Engineering payments.
  • Supervise and manage staff, with responsibilities including, but not limited to, hiring, onboarding, evaluating performance, communicating expectations, and handling and/or supporting disciplinary actions of team members pursuant to Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
