Comment Moderator
About The Position
WEBTOON Entertainment is seeking Comment Moderators to review and moderate user-generated content. The role involves reviewing and investigating visual and written content that violates the company’s Community Guidelines. Moderators should be detail-oriented, culturally attuned, and self-motivated. This is a remote, part-time contract role. Bilingual fluency in English and Hindi, Japanese, or Portuguese is preferred but not required. The role requires routinely reviewing graphic, sensitive, or disturbing content and maintaining strict confidentiality around user data and moderation decisions.
Requirements
- Prior hands-on experience moderating user-generated content, such as comments, forums, or social media trust and safety.
- Cultural awareness of current trends, slang, and pop culture in the U.S.
- Technically savvy and able to quickly learn new systems.
- High-speed internet connection.
- Comfortable reviewing graphic, sensitive, or disturbing content as a routine part of the role.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality around user data and moderation decisions.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual fluency in English plus Hindi, Japanese, or Portuguese; preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with trends in Hindi-, Japanese-, or Portuguese-speaking markets.
