The Command Center Communications Operator will monitor multiple communication channels including radios, phones, and surveillance systems to maintain situational awareness. This role involves monitoring officer activity, responding to officer reports, and overseeing tours, checkpoints, and incident reports. The operator will receive, document, and dispatch incidents, service calls, and emergency notifications promptly and accurately. They will coordinate with field officers, emergency responders, and management to relay critical information and maintain detailed records of communications and incident reports in the system. Effective utilization of computerized dispatch and surveillance software is essential, as is responding to alarms and coordinating emergency response protocols. Routine checks of communication equipment and reporting malfunctions are also part of the duties. The role requires providing exceptional customer service via telephone and radio communications, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
