About The Position

This role involves providing training on the Virtual Battle Space (VBS) gaming simulation, and various Command and Control Information Systems (C2IS) including Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE) and Mounted Mission Command (MMC) to U.S. Army Soldiers attending Primary Military Education (PME) courses. The trainer will continuously grow skills and expertise, becoming a flexible multi-system training asset. Responsibilities include creating, developing, and delivering doctrinally correct, rigorous training scenarios to challenge Soldiers and meet mission partner requirements. Collaboration with experts in other departments is expected to develop expertise and shape capabilities. Preparation and delivery of training may involve loading and unloading equipment, set-up, configuration, networking, troubleshooting, and training product and scenario development. The role requires moving items such as computer towers, monitors, and switches to different locations. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Soldier in the U.S. Army, the U.S. Army Reserve, or the U.S. Army National Guard
  • Experience developing and delivering training
  • Knowledge of Virtual Battle Space, Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Mounted Mission Command (MMC), Joint Battle Command Platform (JBCP), or Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2)
  • Ability to execute basic computer networking and IP configurations
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

  • Experience providing C2IS and Simulations training
  • Experience operating Virtual Battle Space, Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Mounted Mission Command (MMC), Joint Battle Command Platform (JBCP) or Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2)
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Completion of U.S. Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), U.S. Army Small Group Instructor Course, U.S. Army Common Faculty Development - Instructor Course (CFD-IC) or U.S. Army Drill Instructor Academy or Association for Talent and Development (ATD) Master Trainer Certification
  • Network+ or Security+ Certification
