About The Position

John Nugent & Sons is seeking an experienced HVAC Comfort Advisor to engage with homeowners, understand their heating and cooling requirements, and recommend suitable replacement solutions. This is a consultative sales position focused on company-generated leads. The advisor will work with customers who have already indicated a need, assess their current system, present available options, and guide them through decisions regarding equipment, financing, warranties, and installation. Support will be provided by experienced service, installation, customer service, and operations teams, allowing the advisor to concentrate on delivering accurate recommendations and closing sales. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, follows up consistently, and builds trust without high-pressure tactics.

Requirements

Previous HVAC, home improvement, or in-home sales experience preferred.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Comfortable discussing technical options with homeowners.
Strong follow-up and organization skills.
Self-motivated and comfortable working toward sales goals.
Professional and customer-focused approach.
Comfortable using CRM systems, tablets, and digital sales tools.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Meet with homeowners to assess HVAC replacement needs.
Review existing equipment and discuss comfort, efficiency, and budget priorities.
Recommend appropriate heating, cooling, and indoor air quality solutions.
Present equipment, financing, warranty, and installation options.
Prepare accurate proposals and explain recommendations clearly.
Follow up on open estimates and pending decisions.
Coordinate with service and installation teams after the sale.
Maintain accurate customer notes, proposals, and sales activity.
Stay current on products, promotions, financing, and available equipment options.
