About The Position

This is a student employment position within the Office of Community Engagement, specifically for the Federal Work-Study program. The role involves assisting with client, community, and employee interviews to highlight the impact of Columbus House's services. Responsibilities include drafting interview questions, identifying and scheduling candidates, drafting stories based on interviews, editing recorded interviews for social media content, developing social media content, and maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Draft questions for use in client, community and employee interviews
  • Assist in identifying, reviewing and scheduling potential candidates for interviews
  • Draft stories based upon client, community and employee interviews to highlight the impact of Columbus Houses’ services
  • Assist in editing recorded interviews to utilize video segments and audio clips in social media content
  • Assist in developing social media content for various on-line platforms
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to client services and information
  • Other duties as assigned
