About The Position

As a Penske Collision Repair Appraiser, you will write collision repair estimates. This full-time position is located at 7475 Jonesboro Rd., Jonesboro, GA, and works Monday through Friday. The role requires communication with internal and external customers and compliance with Penske, DOT, OSHA, safety, and maintenance policies. It is designated as safety-sensitive, requiring the ability to remain alert and work safely.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of body shop estimating experience.
• Estimator Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Ability to comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and other information established by Penske management.
• Ability to perform work in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including appropriate tool and PPE selection and use, machine guarding, and established safety practices.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule and at the specified location, complete a Penske employment application, undergo a background investigation, and submit to drug screening.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely, and to accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during the scheduled work period.
• Ability to routinely use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate required tools or controls.
• Ability to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms, and safely in all weather conditions.
• Ability to see and hear to safely navigate a workplace with frequent movement of large trucks.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Write collision repair estimates, completing them in the Adjustrite system and downloading them into Summit.
• Communicate with internal and external customers.
• Maintain superior customer relations.
• Apply working knowledge of body shop maintenance operations.
• Complete other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Follow Penske management instructions and applicable DOT, OSHA, safety, and maintenance policies.
