About The Position

As a Penske Collision Repair Appraiser, you are responsible for writing collision repair estimates. The role includes completing repair estimates in the Adjustrite system and downloading them into Summit, communicating with internal and external customers, and providing strong customer relations. The appraiser must understand and comply with Penske management instructions and policies and perform work in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance requirements. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a constant state of alertness and safe conduct.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of body shop estimating experience.
• Estimator Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and other information established by Penske management.
• Ability to perform work in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper selection and use of tools and PPE, machine guarding, and established safety practices.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and work the required schedule and at the required location.
• Ability to complete a Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, including past employment, education, and criminal history, and drug screening.
• Ability to remain alert and work safely, accepting responsibility for personal and others' safety.
• Ability to move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during the scheduled work period.
• Ability to routinely use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate required tools or controls.
• Ability to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to see and hear well enough to navigate a workplace with frequent movement of large trucks.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
