About The Position

This position is for a College Work Study Student in the Culinary Arts department for the Fall 2026 semester. The student will assist the Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts department with various tasks to support daily operations. This role is ideal for Hospitality Management majors with an emphasis in Culinary, Pastry Arts, or Food and Beverage Administration. The work supports CSN students, faculty, staff, and the wider community.

Requirements

• Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and Accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply
• Employees must obtain and maintain, at their own expense, a Southern Nevada Health Department – Food Handler’s Safety Training card (may wait to be hired before obtaining card)
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand and walk
• Able to work with potential allergens including, but not limited to: nuts, fish/shellfish, eggs, milk, wheat, and chemicals

Responsibilities

• General clean-up of kitchen after students are done for the day
• Restocking food and supplies
• Sorting and folding linen
• Assisting dishwashers in restaurant lab

Benefits

• Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00
