About The Position
This position is for a College Work Study Student at the CSN West Charleston Testing Center for the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting students and staff with academic testing needs, including checking exams in and out, monitoring testing rooms for irregularities, and ensuring the efficiency of the Testing Center during busy periods. This is a part-time position with a maximum of 20 hours per week and an hourly rate of $14.00. Eligibility is restricted to students who have completed the current year's FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package.
Requirements
- Must have completed this year’s FAFSA.
- Must have accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package.
- Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Proof of Student Employment Award (copy of latest CSN Award Notification or screenshot of accepted award from MyCSN).
- Financial aid eligible major declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar.
- Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term.
- Degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.
- Enrolled in at least 6 credits (for summer semester/term employment).
- Meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program (for summer semester/term employment).
- Cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time.
Responsibilities
- Assist students and staff with Academic Testing needs.
- Assist with check-in and check-out of exams.
- Monitor Testing Room(s) for testing irregularities.
- Assist with the efficiency of the Testing Center during high-traffic Semester weeks.
