About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a College Work Study Student for the Centers for Academic Success (CAS) for the Fall 2026 semester. CAS provides academic assistance to a diverse student population through various support services including the Writing, Math and Science Resource Centers, Communication Labs, Reading Labs, Accounting Labs, and Tutorial Services. This position is ideal for students who have completed their FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package.

Requirements

• Must have completed this year’s FAFSA.
• Must have accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package.
• Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Proof of Student Employment Award (copy of latest CSN Award Notification showing the Student Employment Award, or a screenshot of the accepted award from the “View/Accept Financial Aid” screen in MyCSN).

Responsibilities

• Greet all students and help them sign in.
• Check student sign-in sheets and give them to Tutors/Assistants.
• Keep a rotation of tutors while working in the Learning Commons.
• Manage students’ expectations.
• Answer phones professionally.
• Answer student questions to the best of their knowledge.
• Enter data into the computer.
• Assist Administrative Assistants.
• File documents physically and electronically.
• Clean and organize the workspace as needed.
• Make copies and scan documents.
• Work on special projects during free time.
