About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a motivated student to join the Career Services department as a Work Study Student for the Fall 2026 semester. This role involves assisting students with career guidance to help them achieve, succeed, and prosper. The ideal candidate will be engaging, kind, welcoming, and contribute to a peaceful and friendly work environment, serving as a student ambassador for the campus.

Requirements

• Must have completed this year's FAFSA
• Must have accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package
• Resume/CV
• Proof of Student Employment Award (copy of latest CSN Award Notification showing the Student Employment Award or a screenshot of the accepted award for the appropriate semester from the “View/Accept Financial Aid” screen in MyCSN)
• Must show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar
• Must meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year
• Must show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment
• Cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student

Responsibilities

• Answering and transferring calls on a multi-line phone
• Retrieving and responding to voicemails
• Assisting walk-in students
• Helping manage appointments
• Participating in and assisting with campus events
• Additional duties as assigned
