The Gaylor Electric Summer Internship Program is an 8-to-11-week paid opportunity designed for college students to gain meaningful career growth. The program combines industry-leading technical skill development with world-class, career-related professionalism training. Students are placed across the country at national Gaylor Electric locations and job sites. Throughout the summer, interns receive support in resume development, interview preparation, business best practices discussions, and professional headshots. The experience concludes with an academic capstone presentation or craft skills assessment. This internship offers construction career exploration, technical skill honing, and robust professionalism development. Roles are available in Field, Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, BIM/VDC, Safety, and Corporate functions (Accounting, Human Resources, Education, IT, Marketing). Interns will develop skills related to their academic field, enhance their professional resumes, improve interview habits, build networking skills, and refine professionalism. They become valued members of the Gaylor Electric culture, learning the significance of high-value, high-opportunity positions in the trades. The hands-on, real-world experiences allow students to develop their potential, make key contacts for future networking, determine career interests, receive professional feedback, and further their education.
