College of Education Clinical Experience Placement Specialist - MSUAASF Range B (AA26152)
About The Position
This position is responsible for securing clinical experience placements for P-12 teacher candidates within public school districts so students can fulfill the requirements necessary for teacher licensure and graduation. The College of Education Clinical Experience Placement Specialist will facilitate, manage and build relationships with students and public school districts. This position involves collaborative planning, preparation and implementation of professional development training for students and student teacher supervisors/mentors. Student background checks as well as verifying the liability insurance process has been completed are also responsibilities of this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related area.
- Minimum of one year of professional experience working with P-12 schools or in higher education, leadership or outreach.
- Demonstrated ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively across divisions and colleges with personnel at all levels.
- Experience in strategic program planning and implementation, leading change management and process improvement methods.
- Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment.
- Must maintain work authorization without sponsorship for the duration of their appointment.
- Must work safely at all times, including participating and completing all required safety trainings and performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
- Must have a valid, applicable driver’s license, as well as a DVS records check with an acceptable rating.
- Employees must have an active, valid, and, applicable driver’s license if they drive a vehicle on state business.
