The Hatzel & Buehler, Inc. College Internship Program is designed to introduce students to the wide range of career opportunities within the electrical construction industry. Since its inception, the program has consistently supported students in developing professional skills, building workplace relationships, and gaining meaningful, hands-on experience. Program participants have gone on to achieve significant post-internship success, including acceptance into local IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) apprenticeship programs and securing full-time employment within the industry. The internship program provides students with the opportunity to explore multiple career paths while working alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, supportive, and real-world environment. Interns gain direct exposure to daily operations, develop practical skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support business objectives. Students may rotate through or focus on specific functional areas based on their interests and business needs, including: Accounting, Estimating and Project Management, Safety, Virtual Design & Construction (VDC). Through this experience, interns build a strong foundation in both technical and professional competencies while gaining insight into potential long-term career paths within the organization and industry.
