About The Position

The 2027 Gaylor Electric Summer Internship Program is designed for college students seeking meaningful career growth. This program combines industry-leading technical skill development with world-class professionalism training. Over the past three years, the program has welcomed students from over 70 high school and collegiate institutions. With over 200 students participating in the summer program, interns are placed across the country at national Gaylor Electric locations and job sites. Throughout the summer, students will have access to resume development, interview preparation, business best practices discussions, and professional headshots. The experience culminates with an academic capstone presentation or craft skills assessment. Gaylor Electric’s internship programming offers construction career exploration, technical skill honing, and robust professionalism development. We offer positions in Field, Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, BIM/VDC, Safety, and Corporate roles such as Accounting, Human Resources, Education, Information Technology, and Marketing. Students will develop skills related to their academic field of study, intensely curate their professional resumes, improve interview habits, enhance networking skills, and refine professionalism approaches. They become valued members of the Gaylor Electric culture and learn what it means to hold a high-value, high-opportunity position in the trades. This is an 8-to-11 week paid opportunity that allows students to expand their knowledge outside the classroom, apply concepts from their major, and gain hands-on, real-world experience. The internship program enables interns to develop their potential, make key contacts for future networking, determine interest levels in career fields, receive feedback from professionals, and further their education and resume.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree that aligns with Gaylor Electric's needs: Construction Management, Engineering (Architectural Engineering, Electrical, Civil and Construction), Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting or any other related college or work-related experience.
• Excited to visit and travel to new locations and projects.
