About The Position

The 2027 Gaylor Electric Summer Internship Program is designed for college students seeking meaningful career growth. This program combines industry-leading technical skill development with world-class, career-related professionalism training. Over the past three years, the program has welcomed students from over 70 high school and collegiate institutions, with more than 200 students participating in the summer program. Students are placed across the country at national Gaylor Electric locations and job sites. Throughout the summer, interns will have access to resume development, interview preparation, business best practices discussions, and professional headshots. The experience culminates with an academic capstone presentation or craft skills assessment. Gaylor Electric's internship programming offers construction career exploration, technical skill honing, and robust professionalism. Positions are available in Field, Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, BIM/VDC, Safety, and Corporate roles (Accounting, Human Resources, Education, Information Technology, Marketing). Interns will develop skills related to their academic fields, enhance their professional resumes, improve interview habits, build networking skills, and refine professionalism. They become valued members of the Gaylor Electric culture, learning the significance of high-value, high-opportunity positions in the trades. This is an 8-to-11 week paid opportunity to expand knowledge beyond the classroom, apply academic concepts, and gain hands-on, real-world experience. The internship helps interns develop their potential, make key contacts for future networking, determine career field interests, receive feedback on strengths and weaknesses, and further their education.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree that aligns with Gaylor Electric's needs: Construction Management, Engineering (Architectural Engineering, Electrical, Civil and Construction), Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting or any other related college or work-related experience.
