About The Position
The College and Career Navigator (CCN) is a full-time position responsible for supporting students in the adult education program. This role involves participating in program orientations, reviewing student goals, analyzing assessments, and coordinating with instructors and volunteer tutors. The CCN will also make referrals to community resources, assist students with barriers like childcare and transportation, provide resources for workforce or postsecondary education transitions, and document all student support activities and hours. The position requires availability as needed to work with any student enrolled in the program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Provide a copy of his or her transcript(s) to the local director's office
- Take the ACT® WorkKeys® Assessments Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents
- Verification of NCRC to be on file with the director
- Pass a criminal background check as prescribed by state statute
