About The Position

Under supervision, the College Aide will perform professional analytical and administrative work of moderate difficulty and will assist the ACCO/Purchasing management and ACCO Central in managing and registering procurements of various forms and office operations, in accordance with the New York City Charter and Procurement Policy Board Rules, and in compliance with Local, Federal and State procurement requirements. Assists management and supervisors with implementing and coordination of various initiatives, including the Mayor’s and Mayor Office of Contract Services (MOCS) initiative of increasing participation and goals of Minority Women Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) in agency contracts. Work on procurements, and all related documentation and administrative actions, from inception to registration. Utilizes various citywide systems, including PASSPort and Financial Management System (FMS) to process procurements of M/WBE Noncompetitive Small Purchasing method, mini bids, micro purchases. Assists with management of correspondence, with coordinating and preparing responses to inquiries and FOILs. Attend meetings and interact actively with project managers, fiscal officers, budget and fiscal teams. Assist with storing and archiving documentation in electronic folders or hard-copy folders. Performs other equivalent tasks.

Requirements

  • Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.
  • Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
  • For Assignment Level II (Information Technology): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
  • For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
  • No student shall be employed more than half-time in any week in which classes in which the student is enrolled are in session.
