About The Position

Collections Specialists at OneMain work collaboratively with customers who have existing relationships with the company, providing consultative repayment solutions intended to improve customers’ financial outlook. The role may involve servicing and collecting on personal loans or credit cards. Specialists communicate with customers through digital channels, including web chat and text, as well as by phone. The position is on-site and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a rotating Saturday every 6–8 weeks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in using multiple tools and systems simultaneously.
• Skill in achieving and exceeding goals.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in customer service, collections, or call center environments.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with financial servicing needs through inbound and outbound contact.
• Listen to customers’ situations and help them determine how to use company products and services.
• Work independently and cooperatively in a goal-oriented environment to meet personal and team targets while balancing multiple tasks and activities.
• Negotiate with customers to resolve account matters while following applicable laws, company policies and procedures, including FDCPA and state regulations.
• Maintain and record appropriate information and documentation about customer and account status.
• Collaborate in person and virtually with internal teams using available technology.
