About The Position

H-Wave is seeking a motivated, skilled Collections Representative to join its operations team. The role manages outstanding balances and negotiates settlements through engagement with adjusters, attorneys, lien representatives, customers, and payors. It also involves administering collections under company policies and procedures, reviewing billing and benefit information, following up on settlements, and delivering excellent customer service while handling a high volume of calls. The position is office-based Monday through Friday. Offers are contingent upon successful completion of state and federal background checks.

Requirements

One or more years of collections and customer service experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort using web applications and databases.
Outgoing, positive personality and eagerness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle pressure.
Must be available to work in the office Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Administer collections according to required policies and procedures, and develop and cultivate strong relationships with customers and payors.
Review explanations of reviews and benefits, and billing codes, to ensure proper codes are used for payment.
Regularly follow up on settlements and confirm payments are received.
Maintain current knowledge of state labor codes and guidelines, including laws governing collection efforts for durable medical equipment, and participate in continuing education workshops to gain skills each year.
Deliver excellent customer service and meet customer needs while executing a high volume of calls.
Negotiate settlements and manage outstanding balances by engaging with adjusters, attorneys, and lien representatives.
