About The Position

This role is responsible for various clerical tasks within the collections department, including mail processing, document logging, scanning, and communication. The position requires maintaining good working relationships, performing general office duties, and reporting concerns to management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Open and sort mail.
  • Scan and forward mail to the appropriate person.
  • Log checks and scan remits.
  • Log Zero pay remits in SharePoint.
  • Print and mail claims for Collector II's and Health Information Specialist.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with co-workers.
  • Perform other clerical tasks as needed, such as answering phones, faxing, and emailing.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Communicate appropriately and clearly to Manager/Supervisor and other superiors.
  • Report all concerns or issues directly to Collections Manager and Supervisor.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of current patient database and billing system.
  • Utilize initiative.
